Cali Fashion Week - The Sustainable Fashion Initiative of LAAMT

The Sustainable Fashion Initiative of LAAMT (DBA of Los Angeles Academy of Media & Technology – EIN: 20-8792027) is a dynamic nonprofit dedicated to reimagining fashion through the lens of sustainability, media, and technology. Based in Southern California, we empower communities by fusing eco-conscious creativity with innovative tools, fostering inclusivity and environmental stewardship across Los Angeles and beyond.
Our Mission
We inspire innovation and promote environmental responsibility by creating opportunities that elevate creativity and inclusivity. Through hands-on programs, we equip youth, designers, and entrepreneurs with the skills to build a greener future.
Our Vision
To position Southern California as a global hub for sustainable fashion innovation, where creativity, cutting-edge technology, and stewardship converge to transform communities and industries.
What We Do
Our initiatives bridge fashion, media, and tech to drive real change:
-
Workshops & Bootcamps: Hands-on training in upcycling, digital design (CLO3D, AI tools), and ethical storytelling.
-
Community Programs: Partnerships with schools and centers in Torrance, Carson, Compton, and Inglewood for mentorship, recycling events, and eco-campaigns.
-
Innovation Lab: A collaborative hub for 3D fabrication, smart textiles, and virtual production.
-
Sustainable City Initiative: Regional efforts to support local businesses, reduce textile waste, and integrate green practices into civic development.
Our Impact
We've empowered thousands of creatives with green skills, sparked entrepreneurship in sustainable careers, and amplified LA's role as a sustainability leader—building stronger communities one innovative thread at a time. Join us in weaving a more responsible world.
